Hi from Ireland
my first car was a fiat 1100 1960,that was many years ago.
i have recently bought a fiat 1100R, tha
t needs restoring,as these cars are very rare here especially in R/H/D.
It needs a lot of work but i feel it can still be saved, the interior is very good, the sills and part of the footwell needs repair,as does the front wings ,but as the panels are virtually flat it shouldn't be a problem.
if any of you have a link to the individual body sections ,it would be very usefull to me.
as you can see there is a lot to be done, any advice would be very welcome

Re: Hi from Ireland
Hi, a huge welcome to our forum! That's the first rhd 1100R I've seen! Was it built in Ireland do you know? There's plenty of knowledge and experience in our forum/club... although I might have to (try to) act as translator from time to time...
The areas that are rusted are of course the typical ones, but the vehicle structure is pretty basic and repairs are not especially hard. My own '61 model has needed repairs in similar places and my mechanic just welded in flat steel sections.
Incidentally, I can't remember the website address but there's another guy in Ireland who has an 1100 which was bought new by his father in 1958 I think... I think I put a link on the forum somewhere... will look in a minute. FOUND website http://www.fiat1100.net/
Anyway, a huge welcome again.
All the best, John.
