Changing from dynamo to regulator 1957 Fiat 1100 / 103

Hello all Italian Millecento fans!

I'm a fresh owner of this 1957 Fiat 1100 in Norway:



It's well maintained and runs sweet, but it has developed a small problem with the electrical system.
The direct current dynamo went dead, but I got it fixed by a specialist. But even after fixing this, the car keeps running out of electricity.
Instead of using lots of hours trying to sort the problem (time I'd rather spend on the road), I'm thinking of swapping to a modern alternating current regulator.
The idea is that this will bypass the problem I currently have, but also a lot of potential future problems.
Does anybody here know of any regulator kits made to fit for this model year? I've searched Ebay with no luck so far...
All hints and tips are very welcome!

What a beautiful car! About the current regulator, I don know anything, so I can't help you. But I think that it's better to save the originality of the car. The 1100 are simply to repair, so I don't think that there will be difficults.
